Happy Valentine’s Day!
Featured today is a simple, no prep, 5-minute, toddler friendly craft for Valentine’s Day. Does it get any better than that? Well, it does actually because despite all of that, the end result is pretty cute!
What you need:
- A piece of white paper
- A piece of red or pink paper
- Something to write with
- A glue stick
Step 1: Draw the outline of a heart on your white paper and write “I love you to pieces”
Step 2: Have your toddler tear up the coloured paper.
Note: I thought this would be second nature to my destructive toddler but it turns out ripping paper is a little challenging. I ended up starting little tears every two inches around the outside and he was able to take it from there.
Step 3: Have your toddler “colour” inside the heart with the glue stick.
Step 4: Have your toddler place the pieces of coloured paper in the heart.
Note: I was adding more glue throughout this process and then did one coat of glue over top of all the pieces when he was finished to hold them in place.
Step 5: Deliver your adorable craft to the Valentine of your toddler’s choosing and soak up the compliments for nailing it as a Mom today!
Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! I hope that you get to spend a few extra minutes with the people that you love today. xo
